Brooke McCaie
Registered Veterinary Technician
Ever since I was 7 years old, I knew I wanted to be a part of the Veterinary field. My first pets were a German Shephard named Tiko and a cat named Jasmine. When my family pet became ill, I got to see firsthand all the hard work Registered Veterinary Technicians do, and I knew that was something I wanted to do as well. I enrolled in the Vet Tech program at Oulton College right after graduating high school and then joined the VetCare team in May of 2019 after finishing my on-the-job training here. I knew almost immediately that I would love to work at this clinic just from the welcoming staff and clinic environment.
Some of my areas of interest include all aspects of surgery from placing catheters to monitoring anesthesia, as well as getting to perform dental cleanings on my patients. I love getting to make their teeth look pearly white again.
A couple fun facts about me is that I’m left-handed, and I can do the splits (which comes in handy when holding patients sometimes!).
